Bio: Hi! I'm Amanda and im a Wife and a Mommy. I enjoy time with my family, helping others, listening, researching, studying, and reading. We've had quite a journey with our Russian adoption and I've learned so much to share and help other families. I started Adoptive Parents Persevering (APPS) in 2013 as a support group for Adoptive parents of children with traumatic backgrounds. In 2015 I was nominated and selected to be a constituent of Senator David Perdue (R-GA) as one of the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute's (CCAI) Angels in Adoption award in Washington, D.C., where I was able to meet fellow Adoptive parents to inform members of Congress about pressing issues in foster care and adoption. I've also spoken at the Papillion Center for FASD on how prenatal alcohol exposure has impacted our adopted daughter and our family. I'm always eager to meet other parents and learn about new ways to help our children. I'm an alumna of the University of Alabama (BA in Art History and East & Central European Studies) and Freed-Hardeman University (M.B.A. In Business Leadership). I'm an early retiree of Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), where I enjoyed a nine year career in Supply Chain as a Contracts and Project Manager.
